I was back in the studio yesterday as Papa Roach tracks the new record. I get a lot of emails asking about the table top book project so Jacoby spoke real quick on it, here is what he had to say. More info coming soon and check http://www.proachriot.com as we are starting the fan question segment back up this week.
Will have release date, maybe a few excerpts and behind the scenes video from the shoots in the near future!

As you can see from the photograph of the box of Polaroid 672 (400iso) , in six languages actually, is that many of their products are being discontinued. As someone who shoots film, Polaroid is the optimum tool for proofing photographs before shooting on film.
According to the Polaroid website, this film is going to be manufactured until 4th quarter of this year and has a shelve date until middle of 2009. They also add “Please know that we will continue to place notification stickers on all commercial films being discontinued. We will also continue to post updates on our website regarding the status of certain products. We are committed to providing customer service for all of our products.”
I find myself buying 672 like I’m a junkie buying drugs. When I’m in the camera store I buy all they have and get them to check the back and the order status. I love shooting with Polaroid, I can see my vision so clearly in those proofs. I am always asked about my “transition to digital” and what am I going to do. I have never shot a professional photo shoot on digital and am not excited about the thought of it. I guess to keep as a proofing tool, I will have to buy a high end digital camera and use it instead of Polaroid, which will be less expensive in the long run, but will be a transitional learning curve. Maybe I will just quit taking photos altogether. I know i threaten that, but with my passion for creating images, i think its more hot air than fact.
So what are your thoughts? What do you think of my desire to stay analog? I’m curious to hear your thoughts. Hopefully Fuji or someone else will buy the patents on Polaroid and continue to provide the products in the future!
